About Us...
The historic and hip Tides-Laguna Beach has been around since 1949, but it had fallen on hard times before Dale Johnson and Linda Humes, both in love with Laguna Beach, acquired it in 2003. Their "it's a small world" stories are amazing. For example, they knew the families of all the previous owners, not to mention a friend who honeymooned there 30 years ago. Thanks to their efforts, the inn was renovated and today it radiates charm and warmth. Their attention to detail is apparent in the souvenir plate collection, incredibly comfortable beds, eclectic decorating and special personal touches like the hand-painted quotations in every room that add to the ambience. There is a pool, a barbecue grill and an outdoor fireplace perfect for a bottle of wine with friends. Located half a block from the beach and an enjoyable walk to downtown, the Tides offers the perfect destination for visitors to Southern California. Dale and Linda invite everyone to visit, relax and enjoy themselves. There are even some rooms set aside for those who want to bring their pets along.
